I found that the theme is not working if the site language is set for Chinese.
Same issue has been reported to the forum last year but it is left unanswered.

The old post is not left unanswered, sometimes - when the issue is specific to your wordpress install only, we will either move the conversation to private so that we can gather your WP admin access and FTP and look into it and let you know the cause, or else to direct you to the cause where the issue may be originating from.
