I"m setting up a new site for a client and she doesn’t want the woocommerce store to be functional yet, so how can I disable it until we are ready? I ask because I have installed the demo content, and a hacker got in and tried to order a few of the products, they were showing up under “orders” so I moved those to the trash. But I don’t want to have to deal with hack orders while setting up her store.
I tried the B2B King Private Store plugin but that didn’t work- it made the entire website disappear and just had a blank white page for the home page.
So please help
thanks,
Karen
Hello Karen, The theme does require woocommerce plugin to be installed and activated to work with frontend store. However, you could use the password protection to access the site while in development. You can find methods to do it here: How to Password Protect Your WordPress Site: Every Method
