I’ve spent a lot of time reviewing this Gutenberg hype (the new editor that is forced to be the default editor for WP v5) and found that it broke many sites, plugins…
I just installed Easy Updates Manager and set it to prevent auto updates and I recommend you do the same.

Yes, the Gutenberg editor will be a major update, when it comes out. We are continually testing this as well. WordPress will have a fallback in initial release however it shouldn’t break our theme, though you may face a couple of issues, we will be doing our best to make it entirely compatible.

I am sure you will do our best, but I am sure many of us want to keep using TinyMCE Advanced instead of Gutenberg.
Simply because there are a lot of bad experience with Gutenberg
