Impossible to install Child theme after installing main theme

Dear,

After installing and activating the main Entrada theme, it’s not possible to add the child theme. After uploading the ZIP-file in Wordpress, I get the message ‘to install this theme, you need to install the main theme’ (hope my translation from Dutch is correct). In the theme overview, the child theme is shown as an incomplete theme: There is no main theme. Install main theme Entrada.

But Entrada is installed and activated (and seems to be working fine). Before doing modifications and uploading demo content, I’d like to have the Child Theme working. I’ve deleted all themes and started all over again, but with the same result. Also tried to install the themes through FTP, but the Child theme can not be completed/installed.

Please let me know what to do - access to CMS how do you want to do that?

Hello Mario,

The child theme should install without any warning, unless the main themes style.css files theme name is modified in which case you would get the message similar to what you have mentioned. But before confirming that with certainty, I will look into it for you asap and let you know the exact cause and also solution, so please and provide your wp-admin access and FTP access and I will get back to you after looking into this.
