Slider / Static Image-

Hi Sanjeev,

Got fed up with the 25 second load time for the Revolution Slider and put a static image at the top of our home page. Had to use the classic editor to do that, as there is no simple media option in the WP Bakery list of elements. The problem is, when I switch back the WP Bakery Backend editor, the image disappears. I have to reinsert the image via the classic editor.

Is there a way to stop WP Bakery from stripping the image?

Or is there a way to add a simple media element to the WP Bakery Element list/window?

For the record, I tried many things to speed up the Revolution slider, like lazy loading and the WP Fastest Cache plugin. I went down to a single image with no animation. Still took 25 seconds at 40Mbps in three different browsers - with a blank background that covered the entire screen and made it look like the site was broken. The spinner would only show up a second before the first image.

The static image takes milliseconds to load.

Do you have any ideas on why the load performance of the Revolution Slider is so poor?

Many thanks!
Kevin

Hello,

Revolution slider doesn’t cause 25 second load time, please check our demo and it always resolves within 2 to 3 seconds. However, with rev slider, woocommerce and all other plugins you may have onto which are resource heave, i would recommend a cache plugin. This post from our user may help as well: https://www.support.waituk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360025925474-Site-speed-recommendation-to-everyone

Also, there should be media element in WPBakery Page Builder, if not, please follow this: https://www.support.waituk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002409165-Visual-Composer-Elements-Hidden

Thank you
