Vacation style icons

Hi,

After translating tags, holiday types… the icons aren’t showing in the destinations.

I tried changing the some of the icon titles in Addons - Custom Icons to see if the solution from this post worked, but the icons are still missing.

I would like to know:

1.- How should I edit the Vacation Style icon so it matches the words in Holiday Types.

2.- If I edit an icon I get a new icon with that title and the old icon is there, is it normal that it creates a new icon instead of editing the old one?

Thank you for your help,

Viajes Ikea

Hello,

What you have mentioned in #2 is correct. When you change the title, you are only changing the “Title” name to be displayed, and the icon class name will remain same, hence the old icon will continue to be displayed. If however, you wanted to rename class names as well, then you will need to regenerate the icons via icomoon app: https://www.support.waituk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001357525-How-to-Add-Custom-Font-Icons

Thank you

Hello,

I just have one more question. In order to display the icons in the holiday description the title of the icon should be the same as the Holiday Type name or the Holiday slug?
I’m changing icon titles but can’t see the icons yet.

Thank you,

Hello viajesikea,

Apologies, I seem to have missed your post.

As for your query, when you say “display the icons in the holiday description”, do you mean in between the text or you mean as tags as shown in the screenshot below:

If its the one above - you need to have the icon class name exact same in addons >> custom icons. Please check the step #3 on the article link provided above: https://www.support.waituk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001357525-How-to-Add-Custom-Font-Icons

Please let me know if you still need further help with this by creating a private ticket along with your wp-admin access and the FTP access.

Thank you

Hi,

I finally found the right holiday type - icon class name combination.

I think this should be clearly explained for translation purposes, since it’s necessary to remake the icon file so the translation works 100%.

Thank you for your help.
